This fascinating program delves into the life of one of America’s most celebrated composers. George Gershwin started out on Tin Pan Alley but as he gained success writing popular music for the stage and Hollywood, he began to make his mark as a serious composer.  Interspersed with commentary, Yamaha Piano Artist,  Alexander Wu performs a selection of the composer’s early pieces andhis Broadway songs as well as his serious works including Rhapsody in Blue.  Return Engagement.
