At the Montauk Library, on Wednesday, July 20 at 7:30 pm, Recipes for Disaster! Charles Baran, actor-& singer Ted Arthur. pianist.Charles Baran is the recipient of the 2016 MAC Award for Best Male NY Debut Performer for Recipes for Disaster! at The Metropolitan Room. In his superb one-man show, he serves up a smorgasbord of music and comedy and all around craziness: growing up gay in Queens in the 70's, with a mom and dad out of Archie Bunker land, dating "older men" and helping Joan Rivers learn her lines for Broadway Bound. The music ranges from The Cranberries to Jacques Brel with a bit of Betty Hutton thrown in. Don't miss the fun! Charles’ extensive professional resume includes distinctions for his performances in numerous Off-Off-Broadway productions, summer theater and web series. Accompanying Charles Baran will be Ted Arthur, a NYC music director and pianist. In addition to other projects, Ted currently plays rehearsals at Wicked on Broadway.
