montauk dining - fort pond bay

Montauk is noted for the freshest seafood, and for excellent presentations prepared by our local chefs. Unless otherwise noted, these restaurants are not open during the winter months.

Duryea’s Lobster Deck

A favorite place to relax with quality seafood dishes overlooking Fort Pond Bay, Duryea’s serves steamed whole lobsters, lobster rolls, and more. Bring your own drinks (Duryea’s doesn’t serve beer or wine), and settle in with your order at a table under an umbrella as you watch the sunset from this casual spot on Tuthill Road. Next door is a retail seafood market to purchase cooked lobsters to go (call in advance) and an antique shop and gift shop for browsing. Opens at noon, and serves daily through dinner time once the weather warms. No credit cards. 668-2410.

Breakwater Café

Craig Leider, the chef, has a signature touch with American cuisine painted with international influences. Seafood and meat dishes, Montauk lobster, and more are on the seasonal menu. Brunch is served from 8 to 1 and dinner from 5 to 10. Nightly prix fixe, 5-7, year-round. Thursday is Steak Night, offering steak and a salad for $ 16.99. Nightly specials off-season. Local lobsters and fish, burgers, chops, and salads make up the fare, with a children’s menu offered too. MasterCard/Visa. Open Year round.
