The Lobster Roll, also known as Lunch for its colorful landmark sign, a nostalgic roadside seafood house on the Montauk Highway in Napeague, celebrates its 44th anniversary this year. A sure thing are its famous, fresh, and overstuffed lobster rolls, sweet-tasting puffers, and a full seafood menu of crispy fried seafood, along with charbroiled fish, whole lobsters, soft shell crabs, and even some landlubbers’ selections. New this year — Seafood Sliders and Shrimp Shots, along with a Take Out Express menu, and a new enlarged bar. The full children’s menu includes a complementary beverage. Surfside Inn
Closed for the season. A charming Victorian-style inn with a Zagat-rated restaurant and newly-decorated guest rooms, all overlooking the ocean. Located on the Old Montauk Highway, the Surfside Inn has been a Montauk favorite for 26 years, not only for the view but for the seafood, steaks, lobsters, rack of lamb, pastas, chef’s daily specials and vegetarian specials served.
