A Montauk classic, Anthony’s, on Main Street downtown, has been serving since 1952. Bird on the Roof

At Bird on the Roof, you can have a meal and browse the beach boutique for clothes and accessories while you wait. This cool combo is in a standout A-frame on South Elmwood, with the big seagull painted on the roof, marking this Montauk landmark, which has been here for twenty-nine years. Hearty breakfasts of eggs Benedict with smoked salmon or prosciutto, omelettes, frittatas, and pancakes topped with fruit are served all day. Lunch is added to the menu mid-day.
