668 The Gigshack

The best food on bamboo plates in the Village. Their in-house barbeque specializes in ribs, chicken, fresh seafood and Latin dishes. You can dine in or out, right on Main Street and enjoy the activity. Check out their espresso bar and gelateria/ice cream parlor, as well as the wine bar. Anthony’s Pancake and Waffle House

A Montauk classic, Anthony's, on Main Street downtown, has been serving since 1952. Breakfast means tried-and-true choices like French toast, omelets, waffles, crepes, and fruit-filled pancakes, along with bagels and Lox. Greek specialties - salads and gyros - are featured at lunch. Anthony's has soda-fountain favorites, too, so live it up and order an ice-cream soda, float, or sundae. Families are very welcome here. Takeout is available. Open daily, 7am, year-round. Bird on the Roof

At Bird on the Roof, you can have a meal and browse the beach boutique for cool clothes, hats, bags, jewelry, t-shirts, sweatshirts and accessories while you wait. This cool combo is in a standout A-frame on South Elmwood, where the big seagull painted on the roof marks this Montauk landmark, which has been here for a quarter-century. Hearty breakfasts of eggs Benedict with smoked salmon or prosciutto, omelets, frittatas, and pancakes topped with fruit are served all day, and lunch fare is added to the menu mid-day. The Harvest On Fort Pond has a well-deserved reputation as a friendly place with just enough panache, and tasty food. This famous East Hampton eatery has a Montauk branch right on the ocean in the Village at the Royal Atlantic Beach Resorts. Luigi's, the place to go when you're craving the cozy friendliness of a reasonably priced Italian trattoria. Stop in to this eatery on South Euclid Avenue, near the Montauk tower, for an early-bird special before going to the Montauk Movie, also nearby, or after the flick for a drink, espresso, or dessert. The traditional Northern Italian dishes are centered on veal, seafood, pasta, and steak. There are daily specials, and early birds are rewarded with a good deal. Takeout is available as well. A healthy and delicious alternative, the Naturally Good Cafe is in the bright seagreen building at South Essex and South Etna Streets. Order a breakfast tortilla, oatmeal, pancakes with fresh fruit, or a smoothie, chai, coffee, or tea, to have in the garden or take to the nearby ocean beach. Homemade bread accompanies the soups at lunch, and the tuna sandwiches are made with the real thing, not fish from a can. Salads and daily specials are offered as well.
