After a long day at the beach shake off that sand and get ready for Montauk's legendary nightlife! During the summer months, there are more than 30 active bars in Montauk, and many bars and clubs offer live music. It's impossible not to find something to suit your tastes. Call ahead to find out what your favorite spot has in the offing on any particular night, because schedules can change. Backyard at Sole East

schedules entertainment during those long summer evenings. Mexican Mondays will feature food and drink specials and live music. Thursdays it's Reggae night—live music with Winsten Irie and special guests starting at 8. Sundays —Summer Sunday Classics, a series of classic films in the evening in the garden with a casual BBQ and cocktail hour. They also host a free live concert series called MTK, Acoustic Sunsets at Sole East, every other weekend in the summer. Call 668-2105 for information and schedules

 

 

Gurney's

(668-2345) right on the ocean on the Old Montauk Highway offers live entertainment every night during the summer. Tuesdays they feature a Summer Beach Concert Series, with great bands, drink promos, surf films, bonfire and food. Every Wednesdays, they have a lobsterbake along with stand-up comedy. Thursdays, karaoke, and Fridays and Saturdays DJ and dancing.

 

 

 

The Montauket

(668-5992) is known for it's sunset views and the lively crowd that gathers there every night to celebrate. Often live music accompanies the main event, the setting of the sun.

 

 

 

Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina

he Barracuda Bar & Turtle Lounge at the Montauk Yacht Club Resort and Marina (668-3100) mixes old with new combining modern libations with classic cocktails. Come and watch some of the most beautiful yachts in the world. Opens Daily from 6pm until close with weekend entertainment. “Late Night” Bar Menu available until 10pm Sunday-Thursday and 11pm Fridays.

 

 

 

O'Murphy's Pub

(668-5005) an Irish pub right in the Village is known for great karaoke Saturday nights, and other scheduled entertainment

 

 

 

The Point Bar and Grill

(668-1500) hosts one of the best parties in town Friday and Saturday nights. This packed-out watering hole is a great place to watch a game with friends, shoot some pool or mingle till 4am.

 

 

 

Rick's Crabby Cowboy Cafe

Hamptons International Film Festival

The 19th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival, to be held from October 13-17, presents a wide array of films – narrative, short, and documentaries. One of the venues is our local Montauk movie theater. There are ample opportunities to stay for a question and answer session with filmakers after the films are presented. Committed to showing films with new views and varying global perspectives, the festival hopes to enlighten as well as connect filmakers to their audiences.
