Barnacle Books

On the Plaza is Montauk's only book store, and we're glad it's here. The shop offers a great selection, and you can order any book, with fast delivery on any available title. On Main Street, the former Montauk Beach Store, this is the home of the famous Kai-Kai Sandal, made of natural Brazilian rubber and designed by MontaukÕs own two-time All-American triathlete Kai Costanzo. Located at 34 South Etna Avenue, next door to Naturally Good, and above the Continental Market (the shop entrance is directly behind the building, and parking is also available). Owner Kathryn Nadeau, a Certified Picture Framer has practiced her trade in Montauk for 14 years. Using the latest in framing techniques, the shop focuses on high-quality custom framing and decorative mats and conservation framing to museum standards. Ms. Nadeau offers hand-crafted beveled mirrors.
